1923-2016 mamie - edited April 2016Hello,
When you get your new computer, download and install the PC version of origin onto your computer.
Your sims 4 game is linked to your origin account. You can log into origin using the same account that you used to register the game, then go to my games section, go to the sims 4 picture and download/install it there. Then click the little 'i' button that is next to the play button. That will take you to a screen that shows you what game packs, stuff packs and eps you own. Go to the pack sections, and you can then download/install them there.
Make a copy of the 'saves ' ' tray' ' 'custom music' and ' screenshots' folders from your old computer that is in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 folder and place it on an external drive.
Then after installing the sims 4 game onto the new computer, play the game once to generate a new sims 4 folder.
Your saves folder contains your save games and the tray folder contains your lots and households that you have uploaded to your library or have downloaded from the community gallery. Replace the saves, tray, custom music and screenshots folders that are in the new sims 4 folder with the same folders that are on your external drive. You will then have your old save games and creations etc on your new computer.

My Showcase thread https://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/948861/rosemow-s-rooms-showcase- Everything has gone well so far but when I tried to put my CC back into the Mods folder I can't even open the game. I tried to take the CC folders out one by one to see if it was a particular file that was the culprit but it seems like having ANY CC at all is making the game unable to open. Is there something I'm doing wrong or will I have to re-download all my CC?
Thanks for any help! - Hello
Move your mods folder that is in the sims 4 folder to the desktop. Start the game , and a new mods folder will be generated. Exit the game. Then put your mods/CC into the newly generated mods folder that is in your sims 4 folder. Make sure that there is only one resource.cfg file in the mods folder. Then try to launch the game and also test to see if the cc appears in your game.

My Showcase thread https://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/948861/rosemow-s-rooms-showcase - I tried that but after I put the mods from my old game into the folder I can't open the game at all.. I tried re-downloading a mod to test it and I could open my game. So I'm wondering if I have to just re-download them all on the new computer? (I'm glad I didn't let myself go too crazy with CC before this..)
- I am sorry that you have this issue. Do you have many cc items? If you don't have too much, it may be best to redownload the files again.

My Showcase thread https://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/948861/rosemow-s-rooms-showcase - I'm going to suck it up and re-download. So far it seems to be working and it will help me think about which ones I really want to keep, LOL!

I hope that the redownloading of the mods/cc goes okay

Save Word In Mac

Game Save Files Xbox 360
The saves are stored as XML files on your computer or mobile device. They're stored separately from your game, so you can safely reinstall or update the game without losing them. On PC, they're shared between different copies of the game (e.g. Mac game zombie griffin beholder lich. If you buy it from both GOG and Steam). Tilted mill entertainment. All steam files including most game data files are located on the G drive. However I noticed a few games, Fallout 3: GOTY and Dishonored for example, are saving files to the C drive. Jul 17, 2019 To find your save files, visit Valve’s View Steam Cloud page in your web browser and sign in with your Steam account. You’ll see a list of games using your Steam Cloud storage. Locate the game in the list (hit Ctrl+F to use the browser’s search)—and click “Show Files” to see all the files for a game.
Steam Game Save Files Mac
I have several flash-based games (.swf) stored on my macbook, each seems to have some kind of a save file: if I make progress in the game and then quit, I'll not lose the progress if I return to the game.
However, If I move the game (the whole folder directory) to another location, everything will be lost. Move it back, everything will be restored. Same thing with renaming the parent folder where the game resides.
So I was wondering, is there a way to 'back up' this mysterious save files? I didn't see anything resembles separate save files, though.
Any insights? Thank you for your time
